Tired of purses that just didn’t work, Elisa Gollatz, started making her own totes that were suited for her everyday demands as a mom. Her totes quickly caught the eye of women in the local area and with the tremendous support of her family and friends she started selling her totes to people in the Charleston area at Purse Parties. With the success of her totes and recommendations from friends, she soon started applying her personal touch to other areas. The company name was inspired by her two daughters, Kiera and Kaitlin. Kiera’s endearing nickname was noodle, after her petite size. Her younger daughter, Kaitlin, was nicknamed K.K, since she is the second “K” name in the family. Merging the two together created the name k.knoodles and continues to be Elisa’s daily encouragement. Since the start of the company Elisa had a son, Caleb. For now she has been telling him that Caleb is the “C” in LLC, until she can find clever way to fuse Caleb into the company name. Later that year while shopping for her two daughters, Elisa was surprised to find provocative clothing being marketed to three and four year olds. Frustrated and wanting kids to be “kids” she started designing clothing for children that promotes the virtue of modesty. Her new collections are designed to keep little girls little... one outfit at a time. Elisa Gollatz is a devoted wife and mother of three who resides in Marietta, GA. |
